Building permit applicants in Chicago

An evidence-thresholded directory of names appearing in the municipality's applicant field. These labels can identify an owner, agent, consultant, developer, or filing party; they do not establish corporate identity, responsibility, or performance.

Privacy by design: profiles publish aggregate permit activity only. Contact details, project addresses, coordinates, descriptions, permit identifiers, and raw records are excluded.

Directory records are refreshing

Individual applicant profiles can still be published when they meet the evidence threshold. This city-level directory will appear once its aggregate source is available; it is intentionally excluded from search indexing until then.

Inclusion methodology

A profile must contain at least five matched permit records and show activity in at least two communities or across at least two calendar years. Names that resemble placeholders, email addresses, phone numbers, or URLs are rejected. Similar names may still refer to different parties; use the source context and report suspected entity-resolution errors.
